Slow growth for tastier chicken meat
Our chickens have almost twice the growth time of a regular chicken. This slower growth contributes to their firmer and denser meat. Moreover, the meat comes from a specific breed (land fowl) known for its excellent and unique flavor.
Organic food, without antibiotics
Our chicken feed consists of at least 95% organically grown ingredients, without the use of artificial fertilizers or pesticides. We avoid the use of animal products and do not use antibiotics or other growth promoters. The feed consists of 65% grains.
Animal-friendly outdoor farming
Our chickens enjoy a humane upbringing, with unlimited access to food and water. Their spacious coops have a comfortable layer of litter on the floor. During the day, they enjoy the Achterhoek countryside, nestling in the grass and surrounded by natural shelter provided by shrubs and trees.
Controlled and artisanal production
Every piece of meat is preceded by a careful, small-scale, and semi-artisanal production process. Each chicken is raised on small-scale poultry farms, and rigorous quality controls are in place. The entire production chain for our Landhoen chicken is overseen by Skal Biocontrole.
